Area of research interests
• Drug Delivery Synthesis macromolecules for systematic design and development of “Drug Delivery” carriers that are capable of crossing biological barriers such as the lungs, the gastro-intestinal tract and the skin and deliver the active molecule to the target (Cancer, AIDS, etc.)
• Metal nanoparticles & hybrid nanocomposites Green and Nongreen synthesis of metal nanoparticles (Au and Ag) for biomedical application and hybrid materials for drug delivery/water purification methods.
• Biosorption & Separation Science Synthesis of functionalized hydrogels from modified biopolymer sorbents for Reverse Osmosis (Waste water treatment), Pervaporation, Membrane Bioreactors.
• Fuel Cells Fabrication of IPN based Polymer Electrolyte Membranes (PEMs) for Fuel Cell application.

i. Awarded the project entitled “Synthesis and Characterization of Biodegradable Polymer Based Nanocarriers for Controlled Release Applications” (2010-2013) with the worth of Rs 15,30,000/- under Fast track scheme for young scientists by Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi.

Awarded the project entitled “Synthesis and Characterization Stimuli-Responsive Interpenetrating Polymeric Network Membranes for Selective Separation of Toxic Metal Ions” (2011-2014) with the worth of Rs. 28, 45, 750/- by Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), BARC, Trombay, Mumbai 400 085.
iii. Awarded the project entitled “Novel Duel Responsive Micro/Nano Hydrogels from Carbohydrate polymers: Synthesis, Development and in vitro Anti-Cancer Drug delivery Studies” (2013) with the worth of Rs. 7, 50,000, by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, India.
