Qualification :
Ph.D – (CULTURAL TOURISM IN ANDHRA PRADESH) from OSMANIA UNIVERSITY, HYDERABAD – 2008.
Experience :
- 1 Year 11 Months Teaching Experience in Yogi Vemana University, KADAPA From 2009 August 3rd to till date.
- 6 Months Experience as a Project Associate in Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, Hyderabad
- 13 Months Experience as an Asst. Manager Public Relations in Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, Hyderabad.
- 13 Months Experience as a V.I.P Guide lecturer for International Tourists in Salarjung Museum, Hyderabad.
Chowmahalla Palace, Hyderabad Museum Setup work.
- 1 YEAR Experience as a Research Assistant in National Museum , New Delhi.
Area/s of research interests :
History, Culture, Archaeology, Museology & Tourism and Tourism Marketing, Management.
Research work :
Dr. Varija concentrates in the fields of Cultural Tourism, especially Destination Marketing and Destination Management. And also her enthusiastic research elaborates in Musicology, Archaeology and Religion Studies, Ancient Civilizations. She evinces keen interest on Pre-History and she has inquisitively participated in many archaeological excavation projects, conducted by State Dept.of.Archaeology & Museums, Gun foundry, and Hyderabad. She has authored more than 30 articles on Tourism Studies, Archaeology, Architecture and Buddhism, Jainism and published 1 Book on Cultural Tourism.

Documentation on Kadapa District from National Mission on Monuments and Antiquities (NMMA), New Delhi.

  • Got Many Awards in the field of Excavations & Explorations in the year 2000-2004.
